23 Weeks

Beth felt the baby this week.  She's thinking she felt it a week or so ago, but wasn't sure what it would feel like.  Anyway, during American Idol the other night, she definitely felt something.  So, we both stared at her belly for a few minutes, and sure enough, you could see something kick or punch from inside every so often.  It was pretty neat.  It sort of looked like someone shocked her in the belly, as you could see it jerk, then calm down, then jerk again. 

She's started wearing a few maternity shirts along with the maternity pants now.  People seem to notice much more when she has those types of shirts on.  I guess instead of disguising the belly, they sort of emphasize it.  We have another ultrasound on March 1st, so we're looking forward to that. 

We've gone through our list of girl names a few more times, and still no standouts.  Maybe it'll be a boy and make everything easier!

Week 21 Appointment

Beth had her 21 week appointment today.  It was pretty cool.  Although she still can't feel the baby moving, we could see it flexing and kicking on the ultrasound.  The measurements all looked good and the heartbeat was strong.  They estimated about June 18th based on size, so I think we're right on track with the estimated due date of June 15th. 

I attached some of the images they took today.  We'll actually be getting one more ultrasound next month since the baby was turned in such a way that they couldn't get a good picture of its spine.  They'll try again next month, and hopefully get a good picture.  Everything they saw today looked normal so that's good news for us.
