26 weeks

Well, it's been awhile since we've written, so first I'll catch everyone up on what we've been up to...

We had the doctor's appointment on March 1st.  It went really well.  We got a few more pictures of the baby, even some 3D ones, but since the baby was facing Beth's back, none of them turned out very well.  So, we won't be adding them to the blog.  You'll just have to trust us that the baby is bigger now and still doing great.

The baby's also been moving quite a bit more lately, especially at night while we watch TV.  Most nights, the baby will start moving around 8 or 9pm and it'll be so obvious I can see it from a few feet away.  Beth says the baby moves quite a bit after lunch too.  I guess the movement starts after Beth eats.  In any case, it's pretty neat to see it move every night.

We also finished some baby shopping last weekend.  We found a crib and dresser set from a local store in Lexington.  We bought everything last weekend and just finished hauling it all back home today.  Next weekend will consist of putting the crib together and getting the baby room situated.

In addition to buying the crib and dresser, we registered for shower gifts last weekend too.  We took the better part of a day to pick things out.  It really was a learning experience.  I had no idea there were so many types of bottles, pacifiers, diapers, and other baby accessories.  I think we did a good job of picking a variety of things, just in case the baby doesn't agree with some of our choices.  It'll be a learning experience, that's for sure.
